another day, another doughnut. actually, beniets. fat tuesday is rapidly approaching, which means its time to make the beniets. fried dough, chocolate and sugar. natures most perfect food. actually, stuff it with beef, then its the perfect food. the food in denver was great. the stock show serves everything from carnie food to steak. several random items were the yak burger. i never tried it. plus my vote for coronary on a plate...two eggs, two slices of cheese, two sausage paddies and mayo on a bun. pass the stint please. to each his own i suppose. i could hear my arteries harden as i read the menu. all that fat could keep you warm though. the temps dropped into the single digits most nights, but the bitter cold never showed. thankfully. we were supposed to get several inches of snow yesterday, but the storm hung over the mountain. a dusting in town and about an inch at the ranch. the snow is still powder, so not much water content. it just blows around. all the good heavy wet snow comes in march april and may. blizzard one day, 68 degrees  the next. water is water, and we'll take it.
