most of the rodeo action has moved south to texas. ft. worth, san antonio and rodeo houston all are major cowboy destinations. rodeo houston seems to last forever. that is one huge show. there is a rodeo up here this weekend in gillette. they always get a good crowd.  they are lucky to have an indoor arena. most of the rodeo grounds around here are open air. no chance of a winter rodeo here. if you have NFR intentions, you need to spend your winter in texas. i'd rather winter in wyoming. the fiddleback ranch is once again hosting the FFA roundup. dinner, dance and auction at 6:00 on saturday, feb. 16th. they threw a great party last year, and raised a lot of money too. tickets are $10 at the door,  5 & under free. diner starts at 6, the dance at 7, and i think the auction is spread out during the dance. thats how it went last year. its a great way to shake off cabin fever.
