i was cleaning out my rodeo gear bag, looking for my watch, when i had a flashback. rodeo gear bags tend not to smell as bad as say a hockey gear bag. mine smelled like worn leather, dirt and sage. actually it smelled pretty good to me. it reminded me of my last ride. it got me to thinking i'm spending to much time in the store and not enough time in the arena. the way i felt when i opened the bag was the same look a customer had when they came into the store. their eyes lit up, and they asked if i could bottle the smell of baking chocolate for them. i dont always get the full effect of the smell of my store. when i'm in here for 12+ hours, i become immune to the smell. roka, however, loves it when i come home smelling like chocolate. ( he loves it when i come home smelling like horses  and manure too.) i usually hide a small stash of chocolate in my gear bag for sugar fix. i tend to forget about it, and it melts into a blob. if i'm desperate enough, i'll let it harden and then still eat it anyway. or, like today, find it several weeks later and think...what is this??
