Recent adventures and mis-adventures of the Meeteetse Chocolatier
Entry for September 17, 2007
i re-opened the web store this weekend. mostly due to threats of violence if i didnt. i'm hoping to add several new items to the belgian page. i am also planning to make my own chocolate bars. that will be an interesting challenge. i should have most of the new items on line by the end of september. i have a lot of orders to fill today, and i need to keep working on the reindeer ranch open house desserts. if i can pull it off, i might even be sampling various flavors of chocolate mousse on thursday. ( at reindeer ranch ) my current project is to expand the flavors of my homemade marshmallow creams. imagine this. a wedge of dark belgian chocolate, you bite into it, and inside is a marshmallow cream that melts on your tounge.  then you realize, there is a hint of raspberries as you finish. sounds okay doesnt it? marshmallow is not the easiest to make, but well worth the time and effort in the long run.  i am also working on a caramel and marshmallow combo. speakingof caramel, if i can ever get my caramel and sea salt truffle to be edible, it tastes so good off the side of the bowl, but it is not quite to the case good. soon, very soon.
