here we go for round 5. tonight is the half way point. those on the top of the standings are holding on and those towards the bottom are going to come in fighting. bareback if off to a strong start. will lowe just made a great ride. 89.5 royce ford drew grated coconut. that is one of the top bareback horses in the world. huge rare out. and will gets an 88.5   should have been higher. grated coconut has made a lot of cowboys a lot of money. will lowe wins the round. amazing that the difference between 1st and 3rd is only 1 point. bulldogging is on deck. todd suhn is up first. 3.9 should get a check tonight for that run. a 3.4 3.5 and 3.6 all pull ahead of todd. the team ropers are having a rough time. this is not an easy event. trevor brazile and patrick smith win the round. this win pushes trevor to a personal record for winnings in a year. congrats. saddle bronc is up next. chet johnson is up first. chet is from gillette. good mark out, but he gets bounced out of his saddle. anthony has an odd horse, may get a re-ride. 70.0 next is heath demoss. heath goes over the cantle. he may have dislocated his shoulder. i've done that before. not a pleasant experience. his free arm needs to be up for balance, so this could be a bad turn of events for heath. hope he is okay. tandy will take good care of him. justin pops off his horse. chad ferley pops off his horse, looks like his saddle came undine, maybe a broken cinch. that could have been a bad wreck. ryan mapston had a rough horse, and he too gets thrown. billy etbauer had too long of a rein and pops off. rodney is tapped, and ...made the whistle. gets an 82. rod hay is up, one of the best bronc riders to ever come out of canada. eh. nice rythym with the horse. should get a decent score. rod has covered all 5 of his horses this week. taos muncey is having a great ride. 83.0. here comes cody demoss, heath's brother. and he makes the whistle. 80.0  cody wright is up, he started off strong, but that horse has some great twists and shook him off. taos wins the round. his first NFR round win.  blair burke wins the go round for tie down roping. this was the fastest round of the NFR so far. barrel racing is on. lindsay sears wins this round with a fast time, obviously. the bulls are proving to be very rank tonight. kanin got fouled on the gate and should geta re-ride. looks like his elbow is still bothering him. he hands on for the re-ride. clint craig takes the round, and kanin takes 4th. well, thats about all for now.
