new year's eve was a blast. the irma throws a fun party. watching football all day was a great way to spend a day too. cu lost, but, for a team that is re-building, they showed how great they will be next year. penn state had a great win too. the national western stock show officially begins a week from tomorrow. i'm heading down a few days early to see robert earl keen and the robert earl keen band. always a great time. sometimes too much fun, although i've never had too much fun at one of his shows. i'm laughing already at the thought of the show. the first week of the stock show is also known as angus week. thats when most of the exhibits feature angus cattle. the bull sale is the highlight of the week, and one of my favorite events. the top angus bulls in the nation come through this sale. the angus assoc has a bunch of events planned for the week, and there are several parties " in the yard." iydkydg  the stockyard saloon always has something going on, along with the cowboy bar and the rose. i'd love to have 1% of their beer sales this month. i could probably retire. it usually takes 3 or 4 days after i leave here, before i go into sugar withdrawl. luckily there are several great bakeries/chocolatiers in the boulder/denver area. recon. time to get back to work. i've been lazy long enough.
